Compare nicotine strength without guessing
Nicotine Index, abbreviated NI, is a transparent scale from NI 0 to NI 6. It is based on verified nicotine per pouch, making products comparable even when brand labels and dot systems differ.
How the scale worksHow the scale works
NI 00 mg nicotine per pouchNI 10.1–3 mg nicotine per pouchNI 23.1–6 mg nicotine per pouchNI 36.1–9 mg nicotine per pouchNI 49.1–13 mg nicotine per pouchNI 513.1–20 mg nicotine per pouchNI 6>20 mg nicotine per pouch
NI describes the nicotine contained in one pouch. It does not predict the exact absorption rate or how intense a product will feel.
A new open comparison standard
NI separates measurable nicotine content from the manufacturer’s own label. Words such as Strong, Extra Strong and Ultra, and dots on the can, remain separate facts and do not determine NI.
