Label Nicotine Index clearly, even at tiny sizes
NI Rail is the official Nicotine Index mark. Six cut bars form a compact scale without imitating manufacturer dot systems. The numeral keeps every level unambiguous in monochrome and small print.
NI4Marks for NI 0–6
Always use the supplied master for the correct level. Never alter the number of bars, spacing or lettering.
Three core rules
Keep the numeral visible
The NI number is the primary information. The rail supports quick scanning but never replaces the numeral.
Make it work without colour
Black is the print default. Gold is a digital accent and must never be the only level cue.
Protect clear space
Keep at least the width of the letter I clear on every side of the mark.

Use the complete NI Rail at 12 mm wide or larger. From 8 to 12 mm use the compact NI plus numeral mark. Never print it below 8 mm wide.
